Experiencing the Edamame KitKat

We were given these sweets from Dra. Aranas, our pretty derma who came back from Japan. And there it was, the KitKat we were all excited about (even though we didn't even know what flavor it was! ha ha!) But basing on the photo on the box we initially thought that it was Wasabi Flavored :p

I really got interested to research about more of the weird flavors KitKat in Japan has:

  • “vanilla” (which must contain something other than vanilla since the bar emerges in a pure white form)
  • “banana” (sporting a pastel yellow look)
  • strawberry” (made with .048% real fruit)
  • “sakura” (a seasonal shame)
  • “apple” (fortified with vitamin C in case citizens begin to confuse confectionary with produce)
  • “swirled melon” (from the swirled melon tree native to the Niger River)
  • “blood orange” (no thank-you)
  • “eraser” (the Kit-Kat design is imprinted on erasers throughout the nation. Unfortunately, erasers are non-caloric and cannot be further discussed).
  • “matcha” (an abomination of culture)
  • and finally, “edamame.”----there it is!! (after confirming with Dra. Aranas)

Plethora's first flea market experience: Preparation

Noticed the clock ticker on the upper right side of my blog? ----->
We're joining the Brown Bag Vintage and Crafts market on December 9, 2011!

I received a text message a couple of days ago from Ms. Nori, informing me that they'll be having a vintage and crafts market on December at the Filipinas Heritage Library. Well, she had me at vintage! haha! My heart leaped with joy and I knew that I had to join this event because the location was very convenient for me. So I just texted her that I was interested to join, after 2 days I already got an email about the event and the proposal that they have for concessionaires like me.

mini photo shoot for shop euphoria

I just to share to you guys some photos of the small photo shoot we had with my colleagues for Shop Euphoria. Medically, Euphoria means happiness :)

Khel started the business a few weeks ago but have been thinking of starting her shop months prior. A few of our friends then lent her a hand; Love modeled her products, Karmie was in charge of hair and make up and I took the shots.

Shop Review: Logolooza

I was finding someone who could do my product tags for me, I then posted it in Multiply's seller group and received overwhelming responses from various suppliers. One response that caught my attention was Logolooza, she offered to give me a free mock up because this was also her first time making product tags and wanted to gain the experience. She asked how much my budget was and agreed to work around it. With a 200 peso budget I was expecting that the designs would be limited. I was surprised on how professional she was and her designs were clean and organized, just how I liked it. I told her my shop's background and style to get her inspired.

I chose this design and wanted it to be printed in a brown card stock:

My Hidalgo St. Date : Finding my perfect tripod

Saw this funny looking map as I searched through Google :)
How to get to Hidalgo st. the easy way: (we went there via the LRT)

via LRT from Taft Avenue
1. Exit  to Carriedo Station
2. Go down to the GF to cross the street to enter SM
3. Then exited at the other side, from there you can see Henry’s and all the other stalls.

joining in the satchel bandwagon

I always get so envious whenever I see a satchel on a fashionista's arm :) popularized by brit Alexa Chung; this handbag trend is here to stay. At last people wouldn't be weirded out if I always bring a stylish carryall bag.

Then a few days ago, the zipper of my trusty big bag jammed and broke! (which gives me a reason to shop for a new bag, ha ha!) I had to find a bag big enough to hold my net book, my phone, planner, wallet, keys and umbrella; so why not find a laptop bag instead of the usual satchel so that I'd have more bang for my buck. And then as I was stormed by A LOT of laptop bag choices (most of them were boring) I stumbled on Bratty Bonita Laptop bags!

Their bags has a Fixed Laptop sleeve, Padded with high density foam (Uratex) and Straps Long enough to wear on shoulder. Their bags are made with Russian and US Leatherette and has an interior divider, and best of all they have a variety of designs to choose from.

Initially I had my eyes set on this bag:

Would you want your teeth whiter?

As we age, our teeth darken and discolor. As you get older and reach 30, the color of your teeth usually start to fade. The dentin, which is present underneath the enamel, generally tends to yellow. But you don’t have to put up with it. A great smile is possible for everyone! There are a lot of scary things that some people do so they can stay young; and teeth whitening is the first thing that people start with. (source)

I purchased Crest Whitestrips Professional Strength Supreme online through Ebay :) (I only bought 10 pouches though just to test drive the product)
